In the TachoData application you can report a bug using the "Report an issue" menu item. The application also automatically records and sends critical errors to the developers.

Report an issue from the menu

To report an issue, follow these steps:

  1. Open the menu in the application (hamburger icon)
  2. Select the "Report an issue" menu item
  3. The application will collect the necessary diagnostic information and send it to the developers

Tip

Bug reporting helps developers quickly identify and fix application issues. Please use this feature whenever you experience any problem with the application.

Automatic error reporting

The application automatically records critical errors (crashes) and sends them to the server on the next launch. This process runs in the background without any user intervention.

The automatic error report contains the following information:

Data Description
Error type The type and message of the exception
Call stack Stack trace identifying the exact location of the error
Thread information Which thread the error occurred in
Device identifier The unique identifier (IMEI) of the device for error identification
Timestamp The exact time the error occurred

Data protection

The error report contains only technical diagnostic data. The application does not send personal data (name, card number, driver details).

Contact by email

If you would like to describe the issue in more detail, you can send an email directly to the developers from the About screen of the application — tapping the email button will open the phone's default mail application. On the website you can also send a message via the Contact us form.

In your email, please include the following to help us resolve the issue faster:

  • Description of the issue — what you were doing when the error occurred
  • Phone model — e.g. Samsung Galaxy S24, iPhone 15
  • Tachograph model — e.g. VDO DTCO 4.1, Stoneridge SE5000
  • Connection method — USB card reader, front download unit, or direct tachograph connection
  • Screenshot — if possible, attach a screenshot of the error

Important

The application stores log files in the phone's memory for diagnostic purposes. These log files are automatically deleted after a set period of time.
